Laneah's blessing day

Laneah was given a name and a blessing in church on Sunday Oct 21, 2007. It was a beautiful sunny day and it was great to have almost the whole family over at our place after church. We are so excited for Laneah to grow up in such a wonderful family.

Message from Laneah

I'm three weeks old now and I love life. I love life at night especially. :) I like to get kisses from cousin Chayenne and I like to wear pink - just like great-grandma! And I looooove to take showers with Daddy. Life is great!

Little Miss Chubbycheeks

Here's some pictures of Laneah's latest adventures. Her love for chocolate mousse she got from her mommy. The good looks she got from her daddy. :) Laneah is a very quiet baby except at night. She still doesn't get that we sleep at night and have fun during the day. We'll be working on that for a while I guess. :)

Laneah's first sunday in church

I was joking when on our way to church I said: "I bet she'll be making some noise during the sacrament prayer." And she did. Ha ha. Right after they finished the prayer Laneah let everybody hear that her bowels are working just fine. :)

We had a fun weekend with grandma and grandpa from Germany.

She's beauty and she's grace

Laneah likes big sunglasses already. Maybe Mommy shouldn't have told her so many stories about Anita and what they did on preparation days. :)

She's here!

Finally our little baby girl arrived. She was two weeks late and we're glad all is well. Her name is Laneah Allegra Mailin Panhuyzen. Initials: L.A.M.P. and we hope she'll "let her light shine before the world". Laneah comes from Latin - Soft wool; Irish - Peaceful; Hawaiian - Floats on the water and of course from the Testaments movie. Allegra means happy, lively. She sure was a hppy little baby in the belly - that's why we chose Allegra and Mailin is an Asian name and since she has Indonesian ancestry too we thought this one one be a cute name. It means beautiful orchid or sweet as honey.

The delivery was not easy and using no drugs I was glad it took only a little over ten hours. She was born at 7:35 am weighed 4125 grams and was 52 cm long. 'We're such proud parents and love showing her off. I love being a mother!
